Broker's Comments
You don't find many of these around - the aft-cabined version of the famous Westerly Centaur. A hugely successful design, as popular today as when first launched, the Chieftain version was never one to rival the more common Centaur layouts. Nevertheless, the Chieftain opens up a range of interesting possibilities.
For example, two children of susceptible age would be delighted to have their very own cabin (or den) from which to command 'their privateer'. Dad could really get into the role of Captain Bligh (if he isn't already) and post one of the kids, suitably uniformed, as a 'marine sentry' to keep the mutinous crew from entering his 'Great Cabin Aft'!
Perhaps he'd mount a stern chaser during the winter refit....? The possibilities are endless, only limited by one's imagination!
This yacht appears to have all the basics and even a few extras, like the oven and recent mainsail. She will, I'm sure, prove to be as rugged, reliable and safe as all the Centaurs and not a half bad sailer either! She's open to offers.
