Broker's Comments
The Stella is a well know class of yacht, originaing on the East Coast. The design dates back to 1959 and is loosely based on the Nordic Folkboat but with much more interior room. More than 100 Stellas have been built, most being in the UK but some are in Australia.
This example is very tidy and has had a fair bit of work professionally undertaken in recent years. The coach roof has been improved and now gives standing headroom below, without loosing the good lines of the boat.
Wooden boats like these are not all bad news. Every single piece of wood and hull plank can be got at from inside for inspection or maintenance. If you have the time, a boat like this will be a pleasure to own and with the help of an active class association, you will be in good company.
