I bought a boat through Boatshed Barcelona in 2021. It was a lovely boat but it wasn’t a straightforward sale and it probably would have failed if it had not been for Paul Griffiths of Boatshed Barcelona. Firstly, the survey threw up several defects, of which some were relevant and others not. A large retention was required to complete unfunded repairs and liaison with a top shipyard in the region was required. All of this was done with good grace and good humour by Boatshed and I felt comfortable that I was in safe hands at all stages. Whilst Boatshed Barcelona is paid a commission by the vendor, there is plenty of value in their services for the purchaser. For instance drawing up watertight contracts and finding a good surveyor as well as local knowledge for repair yards are all things where professional help is useful. Paul Griffiths likes to build up a relationship with his clients. It is not just sell and forget and I am sure that can be a win-win for everyone.
