Broker's Comments

This Old Lady has quite a bit of history attached to her. She was commissioned by Viscount Traprain (Lord Balfour), and was built in Scotland in 1936.
She was constructed from pitch pine on oak and was designed as an Auxiliary Cutter.
With a spacious interior and a relatively modern diesel engine, she would be an ideal project for a wooden yacht enthusiast keen to restore this craft to her former glory.

Hi Tony,
The hull planking has been examined by a Surveyor, and at the time it was in sound condition but requires re caulking.
The boat has been ashore for several years, so is dried out a bit.

Adam,
Boatshed Cumbria

HI Geoffrey,
As I understand it the sails and running rigging is stored at the owner's home, though I must confess I haven't seen any of it.

Thanks
